I was awarded a PhD in Comparative Literature by Rutgers University. My research focuses on the contemporary European cinema, its major themes and representatives. I am currently writing about filmic representations of the Holocaust, the sociology of advertising, and the relationship between urbanism and precarity as depicted in contemporary Romanian cinema.
