I am the E-learning and Instruction Librarian at the Borough of Manhattan Community College, CUNY, where I work as a research librarian and the liaison to the English, Music & Art, Modern Language and Media Studies Departments. Primary focus: the relationship between research and student writing. Interests: migration and identity; women’s studies; literary structure; narration.

Academic Interests
Comparative literature, women’s studies, film, and theatre. Recent research: 1) A 6-year partnership with English Professor Kelly O. Secovnie in an innovative project that integrates information literacy instruction into scaffolded assignments in online English 201 courses, whichreceived a faculty research stipend project award, funded by a BMCC e-learning grant. 2) A 4-year project teaching students about disinformation by presenting a discussion-based slide show of news articles. 3) Research on the poetry of Kamala Das. 4) Research on the character Albertine in Marcel Proust’s À la recherche du temps perdu.
