Associate Professor of Biology

I am a founding faculty member and associate professor at Guttman Community College. I teach all manner of biology courses and an occasional quantitative reasoning. I am coordinator of the Liberal Arts and Science – Science track. My research foci are improving biology education for underserved students and genetic mechanisms of cancer.

My current research utilizes CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing techniques to study the role of cell cycle inhibitor proteins on zebrafish development.
