my academic interests are in flux most of the time, with certain anchors (i’ll list two for now): writing (especially fiction and mixed-mode– the reading and the writing of them) and the brain (how people think, why they think the way they do, ways in which we can affect and change our ways of thinking, etc.).

i have an MFA in fiction writing and have begun a PhD program in cognitive studies in education.

i will have been with CUNY and the SEEK Program for four years come November 28th, 2009– which has frayed my interests even more. basically it’s my job to create academic support programs for the SEEK students at Baruch, so there are endless theories and practices to consider, academic disciplines to explore, etc.
