Associate Professor of History

Dr. Debra L. Schultz teaches civil rights and women’s history. She is the author of “Going South: Jewish Women in the Civil Rights Movement.”

Her research interests include the intersection of race, gender, memory and social movements. She has published on the European Romani

women’s movement, historic preservation of civil rights sites, and civic engagement. She leads civil rights study tours to the South.
