Doctoral Candidate in Theatre, Dissertation: “Animals and Animality in Big-Time Vaudeville (1885-1929)”

I’m interested in animal performance and discourses of animality, national identity formation during the Progressive Era, critical race studies, feminisms, and contemporary plays by people of color and women. I teach Theatre and Acting at Baruch, where I am also a Communication Fellow. I love public parks and fear subway elevators.
