Theatre Pedagogue and Director

Bryan Stanton (they/them) is a queer theatre educator, author, and advocate whose work centers on inclusion, belonging, and liberation in arts education. They are the founder and host of Teaching While Queer, a podcast and nonprofit dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ educators through storytelling, research, and community. Bryan teaches Musical Theatre at The Equity Project (TEP) Charter School in New York City and previously served as Performing Arts Technical Manager and adjunct lecturer at City College of New York. They hold an MFA in Theatre Pedagogy from the University of Idaho and an MA in Legal Studies from American Public University. Their work explores Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Culturally Responsive Pedagogy (CRP), and queer-centered theatre practice.
