Executive Director of Academic Computing & eLearning – QCC CUNY

I have been with Queensborough Community College since 1968 and I am currently the Executive Director of Academic Computing and eLearning. I was instrumental in developing and conducting Queensborough’s eLearning Institute which has thus far taken 90 faculty members through the process of developing and teaching quality online courses. Recently I have had the pleasure of developing and teaching numerous leading-edge courses, hands-on workshops, and seminars, specializing in the areas of emerging instructional technology, eBooks, ePortfolios, multimedia authoring, and database-driven Internet technologies. During this time I have become an expert in Blackboard and Blackboard Collaborate – CUNY’s asynchronous and synchronous online teaching and collaboration tools. My expertise also encompasses PowerPoint, SoftChalk, VoiceThread, Camtasia, iBooks Author, Creative Book Builder, Digication, and other emerging technology applications.
