Associate Professor

BERTIE FERDMAN is Associate Professor at BMCC at the City University of New York. Recent publications include Off Sites: Contemporary Performance beyond Site-Specific (SIU Press, 2018) and co-editor of the forthcoming Critical Companion to Performance Art (co-edited with Jovana Stokic, Bloomsbury Press, 2019). Her essays have appeared in Theater, TDR, PAJ, Theatre Journal, Theatre Survey, Performance Research, TCG, and HowlRound. She was co-editor of a Special Issue of Yale’s Theater Magazine titled “Performance Curators.”
