Judith Anderson

Cultural anthropologist specializing in race and identity among Afro-descendants in the Americas

Professor Judith Anderson is a cultural anthropologist who has taught and conducted scholarly research in the areas of African Diaspora Studies and Latin American Studies. She earned a Ph.D. in Anthropology, with an interdisciplinary focus in Film and Media Studies from the University of Florida in Gainesville. She has created and led study abroad programs in both Argentina and Brazil. Her interdisciplinary publications focus on the construction of black identity in present-day Buenos Aires, Argentina. ​
