I am a Professor at Hostos Community College in the Public Policy & Law Unit where I teach in the paralegal and criminal justice programs. In 2020-2023, I was Co-PI of a $750, 000 grant awarded by the Aspen Institute, Stevens Initiative to develop a Collaborative Online International Learning Program with institutions in CUNY and the Middle East. In 2023 I was CO-PI of a $650,00 grant awarded by the National Science Foundation to create an online cybersecurity program at Hostos. I am an attorney licensed to practice in New York and Georgia since 1983 and 1987, respectively. I have worked at Patterson, Belknap, Webb & Tyler and at Haissly & Vodoz, an international law firm located in Geneva. I attended Barnard College and graduated with a degree in Latin American Studies from Emory University in 1979. From 1978-1979, I spent one year studying at the University of Barcelona-Central. In 1982, I received a JD degree from Cardozo School of Law.
