Alicia Leon, 21, is a passionate writer, musician, and Italian language enthusiast born in the U.S. and raised in the Dominican Republic. An Honors scholar and Phi Theta Kappa member, she graduated from Bronx Community College in Fall 2024. Alicia wrote La Realtà della Vita, a book in Italian about her aunt’s cancer journey, and has created short films and songs in Italian. She earned a B2-level CELI certificate at Scuola Dante Alighieri in Recanati and successfully completed an Italian language and culture program with World Lang America in 2025. In Fall 2025, she will begin her BA in Humanities at Sarah Lawrence College on a full scholarship, focusing on Italian. Her dream is to become an Italian professor and live in Italy, honoring her aunt’s legacy through their shared story.
