Final Review of LLM’s & Chat GPT Tonight 6:30pm at CUNY Graduate Center

  • Hi all,

Short notice, but the MS Program in Data Analysis and Visualization and the MA Program in Digital Humanities is having one last event for this semester (tonight!) in case you might be interested or able to make it. Feel free to come by for any amount of time.

Event details from course prof. Michelle McSweeney:
Hello fellow CUNY Data Viz Enthusiasts!

I’m reaching out with a very last minute invitation to the Final Review for Large Language Models and ChatGPT. The course explored the technical underpinnings and social implications of LLMs, and the final review reflects both.

Join us on Monday, Dec 11 at 6:30 in 9206/9207 for the Final Review of Large Language Models and ChatGPT. Students will showcase their projects ranging from chatbot therapy to fake news detection to an LLM powered magic 8 ball. They explore the social and ethical implications of LLMs in the workplace, in relationships, and the classroom. With special guest appearances by a deep fake Jim Groom to explain how AI works and a Carl Sagan chat buddy to teach us about the stars. Hope to see you there!

    All best,
    Michelle
