For Angie, a lifelong resident of the Bronx, the borough isn’t just where she lives—it’s her identity. “The Bronx is my heart,” she told us. “It’s where I grew up, where I learned resilience, and where I found my voice. What makes it so special is the people. The Bronx is a mosaic of cultures, creativity, and raw energy. There’s a sense of community here that you don’t find everywhere, and I’m proud to call it home.”
That love for her borough inspired Angie to get invloved in The Bronx Collab, an innovative space that’s changing the narrative for Bronx residents. “The Bronx Collab was born out of my love for this community and my desire to create a space that uplifts and connects people,” Angie explained. “I love the idea of giving young professionals, creatives, and dreamers in the Bronx a platform to network, collaborate, and grow.”
Since its inception, The Bronx Collab has brought people together through a variety of events—from professional networking mixers to cultural showcases and impactful community drives like the Holiday Coat Drive. “These events create opportunities for people to connect on a deeper level—whether it’s through shared goals, cultural pride, or giving back to the community,” Angie said. “The Bronx Collab is a space where everyone is welcome, and that’s what makes it so powerful.”
Spaces like The Bronx Collab are crucial for young professionals, Angie believes. “The Bronx has so much untapped talent, but often, young professionals feel like they need to leave the borough to succeed,” she said. “The Bronx Collab challenges that narrative. It’s a place where they can build relationships, find mentors, and create opportunities right here at home. We want people to know they don’t have to go elsewhere to thrive—they can do it right here, together.”
Looking to the future, Angie envisions The Bronx Collab becoming an enduring part of the borough’s fabric. “I hope The Bronx Collab becomes a cornerstone of this community—a space that continues to inspire, empower, and unite people for generations,” she said. “I want it to be a legacy that reminds everyone of the incredible strength and potential of the Bronx. Most importantly, I hope it leaves a lasting mark of positivity and progress.”
For anyone who hasn’t experienced the Bronx firsthand, Angie has a simple message: “Come visit, and let us change your mind! The Bronx is so much more than stereotypes. It’s vibrant, innovative, and full of life. Meet the people, explore the art, and feel the energy. You’ll leave inspired.”
Her hopes for the next generation are equally compelling. “I want the next generation to feel proud of where they’re from and to know that they have everything they need to succeed right here,” she said. “I hope they continue to break barriers, build bridges, and carry the spirit of the Bronx with them wherever they go.”
More than just an organization, Angie describes The Bronx Collab as a movement. “It’s about community, collaboration, and creating a brighter future for the Bronx,” she said. “Whether you’re here to give back, connect, or celebrate, there’s a place for you at The Bronx Collab. We’re all in this together.”
As the Bronx continues to rise, The Bronx Collab stands as a beacon of its transformation, proving that when a community comes together, the possibilities are limitless.
