How the “3-Legged Dog” Bounced Back – Part 5

  • Finally, we get to the part of how media tech company, “3-Legged Dog” (3LD), got its name.

Sid, used to play a dangerous game of jumping down from a ledge in front of moving cars to chase them.  One day, Sid risked it all for that one jump and lost one of his front legs.  Well, Sid did recover and unbelievably, continued on his dangerous game.   Sid, however, learned how to gage the distance from the sidewalk to the car he wanted to chase and unbelievably, became better at jumping down with an almost perfect landing.  Apparently, getting rid of that one leg that was hindering his success at having that perfect landing.  The New York Times said, “[Sid] became a symbol of the requirements of artistic life in the United States: persistence of vision in the face of adversity”.
