Before we talk about the vision for the name, “3-Legged Dog”, let’s dive in a bit more into the vision and work of “3-Legged Dog” (3LD), by Kevin Cunningham, the award-winning writer, director, designer, producer, inventor and entrepreneur”, who is the founder of the new and improved, “3-Legged Dog Media and Theatre Group, who in the aftermath of 9/11, led the company in its production of new works, new vision and new technology.  He, who “hosts approximately 500 international artists a year that focuses on the creation of new large scale, complex experimental artworks of all kinds”.  Not shy to boast his own personal works, Cunningham has created, House of Bugs (Ontological Theater), The Realism of Simple Machines (La Mama), Automatic Earth (Signature Theater), Kampuchea/Loisaida (3LD Desbrosses Street), Accidental Records (Venice Biennale, 9th Annual Architecture Exhibit), and Degeneracy, Losing Something (2007 Hewes Design Award) and A Line of You at 3LD Art & Technology Center.  So now you know the man behind that company, “3LD”. Next, we will finally discuss that infamous name, “3-Legged Dog”.
