  • DISCOVERY GARDEN: COOL HABITATS KIDS WILL LOVE

    Location: Brooklyn, New York

The one-acre paradise known as the Discovery Garden, created especially for children to explore and learn about intriguing plants and environments, is officially reopened! The Brooklyn Botanic Garden (BBG) is extremely excited about this announcement.

The Discovery Garden, which is tucked away among the lush surroundings of BBG, provides kids with an immersive opportunity to interact with nature. Among the highlights are:

A raised walkway that gives children a unique view of the garden by allowing them to stroll directly under the canopies of Lavelle’s black locust and cork species.

One particularly interesting feature is the “insect hotel,” where children may watch termites, praying mantises, and leaf-cutter bees in their natural environment.

Grow tall native grasses and flowers to draw hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies. These offer opportunities for experiential learning about biodiversity and pollination.

With its wide variety of plants and habitats, the Discovery Garden acts as an educational playground where kids may explore and learn more about the natural world.

The Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s Discovery Garden is reopening, providing educators and families with an exciting chance to involve kids in hands-on instruction about plants and their ecosystems. Kids are guaranteed to be captivated with the beauty of the garden and cultivate a lifetime love for the environment via hands-on activities and intimate interactions with nature.
