Looking forward to seeing those of you who can make it to the SCRT meeting this Friday, Sept 9, 2-4pm, at Graduate Center Library, Room C.196.05 (lower level).

Also save the date for Sept 23, when we’ll be offering two opportunities to learn more about PressForward and do hands on work with it. As a reminder, PressForward is a WordPress plugin that facilitates curating and sharing content within a community and on the web.

We’re teaming up with the GC Center for Teaching and Learning (Luke Waltzer) and GC Digital Initatives (Lisa Rhody), as well as the LACUNY Emerging Technologies Committee to offer the workshops which will be at the Grad Center. There will be an intro session from 10am-12pm, for faculty, librarians, and others curious as to what it’s all about, and then a train the trainers session from 1-5pm (feel free to come for a portion of this if you can’t make the whole session).

We’d love to have SCRTers at either one of the sessions as we’ll be implementing PressForward on the Open @ CUNY blog this fall. More info on room and registration details to follow later this week. And for more on PressForward, visit: http://pressforward.org/
