REMINDER: SCRT event, Dec. 19 @ 2:30-4:30pm

  • One more invitation to attend the LACUNY Scholarly Communications Roundtable event on Thursday:

    WHAT: Event on Persistent/Standardized Identifiers
    WHEN: Thursday, December 19, 2:30-4:30pm
WHERE: Graduate Center, Room C196.05 (concourse level inside the library)
(Don’t be deterred by the disarray on the library’s concourse level! The furniture has been dismantled in preparation for construction, but the conference room is still intact. You just need to walk through the mess to reach it.)

PART I: “Article club” discussion about these articles:

PART II: Brief presentations by colleagues about persistent/standardized identifiers. Presentations (approx.. 5-7 minutes each) planned on these identifiers: ISBN, ISSN, DOI, IP addresses, ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID), ROR (Research Organization Registry), and QID (used in Wikidata).

    REFRESHMENTS? Yes!

    Hope to see you there!
    Jill and Nancy (co-chairs)
