Georgia State U Libraries Hand Out Suber’s Book on OA to New Faculty and Admins

  • This is really cool!

Perhaps somewhat unrelatedly, however, I just picked up Suber’s book in a bookstore yesterday and found a really puzzling sight on the copyright page: the image for the CC-BY image (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.5/) followed by the standard, no-copying, derivs, etc. statement of full, standard copyright. IANAL, but aren’t these two things (creative commons attribution license and automatic copyright restrictions) at odds with one another?

I worry that that one page of the book may confound those who are wholly new to OA issues, but am I being too anxious?
