Minutes of 11/14/17 Organizational Meeting at 4:00pm:

Committee discussed need for sharing best practices on assessment. McGill’s Comprehensive Assessment Plan was recommended to fuel further conversation.

Agreed to start LACUNY Instruction Committee Assessment Best Ideas, a folder of our favorite assessment tools, instruments, methods, and tips, broken out by:

• Evaluation of student learning
• Professional development
• Resource evaluation
• Programmatic assessment

We agreed that our next Roundtable in the Spring will be all of us as our own “focus group,” for a guided discussion (we will formulate questions prior, possibly based on Brake article) about our personal IL assessment , as well as some info about our programs.
