The Internet Research Team is a student-led group of scholars interested in exploring, discussing, and using online and digital research methods. The group also includes faculty and staff and meets regularly throughout the year. We invite people of all levels of technical skills who are conducting or have an interest in online and digital research to join the group here on the Commons and attend the meetings.

Announcement by Collette Sosnowy on 3/4/13

  • Hi everyone,

We had a great panel at the Theorizing the Web conference this weekend which sparked a conversation about the need for further support for digital research at the GC. We tweeted the panel (#cunyirt) and will give a summary at the meeting on Thursday.

In the meantime, JustPublics@365 is conducting a number of free, hour-long hands-on workshops this Wednesday, March 6 from 10am-1pm. Workshops include using WordPress, Twitter, & open source data analysis software. Several of these will be taught by IRT members.

    More info here: http://justpublics365.commons.gc.cuny.edu/handson36/

The agenda for Thursday's meeting will be announced shortly.
