Digital Humanities Initiative

The CUNY Digital Humanities Initiative (CUNY DHI), launched in Fall 2010, aims to build connections and community among those at CUNY who are applying digital technologies to scholarship and pedagogy in the humanities. All are welcome: faculty, students, and technologists, experienced practitioners and beginning DHers, enthusiasts and skeptics.

We meet regularly on- and offline to explore key topics in the Digital Humanities, and share our work, questions, and concerns. See our blog for more information on upcoming events (it’s also where we present our group’s work to a wider audience). Help edit the CUNY Digital Humanities Resource Guide, our first group project. And, of course, join the conversation on the Forum.

Omeka looking for part-time testers

  • Dear all,

See the email below from Sharon Leon, who directs Omeka, about their search for part-time testers. Those who can contribute to accessibility testing are encouraged to apply.

    Best,  Lisa

I’m writing to share this job call with you in the chance you might have students or recent graduates who would be a good fit to work with the Omeka Team.<br clear=”all” />

We’re very interested in accessibility and usability, and we take our pre-release testing seriously. This is a great opportunity to get to learn how the team works and contribute to the development and maintenance of the software.
I’m happy to answer any questions you might have.

Wishing you all the best, Sharon
