Digital Humanities Initiative

The CUNY Digital Humanities Initiative (CUNY DHI), launched in Fall 2010, aims to build connections and community among those at CUNY who are applying digital technologies to scholarship and pedagogy in the humanities. All are welcome: faculty, students, and technologists, experienced practitioners and beginning DHers, enthusiasts and skeptics.

We meet regularly on- and offline to explore key topics in the Digital Humanities, and share our work, questions, and concerns. See our blog for more information on upcoming events (it’s also where we present our group’s work to a wider audience). Help edit the CUNY Digital Humanities Resource Guide, our first group project. And, of course, join the conversation on the Forum.

    To: <institute@lists.uvic.ca>

    Hello everyone,

We at CSUF’s Digital Ethnic Futures (https://csufdigital.org/) initiative
would like to extend a warm invitation to join us for the last two
workshops in our “Fall into DH Series.” These workshops aim to provide
participants with a deep dive into specific DH topics and tools that are
important for public digital humanities practice.

The upcoming workshop, scheduled for November 17th, Funding Your Big Idea
will focus on DH funding. It is particularly beneficial for individuals
working in spaces with limited DH funding, such as regional public and
minority-serving institutions or those looking to move beyond initial seed
    funding.

Our final workshop, Spatial Analysis in Critical Praxis will be a
small-group, hands-on session that explores various mapping tools and
counter-mapping strategies using local data from Orange County, CA.

Please find all the details and registration links on our website
https://csufdigital.org/fall-into-dh/. All workshops will be conducted
virtually via Zoom and take place 9:30 am–12:30 pm PST | 12:30–3:30 pm EST

Thank you and we look forward to your participation!
