Welcome to CUNY Edits! Since joining CUNY, I’ve been amazed at how many students, faculty, and staff, engage with Wikipedia as an editor and/or educator. This group was launched in order to connect Wikipedians within the CUNY-verse, whether seasoned editors, newbies, or those that just want to learn more.

Shall we start with a round of introductions? My name is Megan, and I lead open research initiatives out of the Central Office of Library Services. I started organizing editathons back in 2011, after reading an article about the gender gap.The majority of my efforts go to supporting Wikipedia events and courses in the New York metropolitan area. I was recently appointed president of Wikimedia NYC.
