The State of New York has handed control of energy budgets to senior CUNY campuses for the first time ever. Each senior campus now has an energy budget based on previous history, taking into account various factors such as new buildings. If a campus comes in under budget at the end of the fiscal year, the savings are returned to the campuses. Over budget- and the colleges will need to make up the difference.
