CUNY Comix Programming Group

The CUNY Comix Programming Group (CCPG) formed in Fall of 2022 in order to propose, develop, program and produce resources, live events, seminars—and suggest courses and instructors at the CUNY Graduate Center. This programming and development group is committed to supporting BIPOC, LGBTQIA and under-served persons, and differently-abled populations’ participation and representation in its development efforts. *The CCPG is a DGSC-chartered group as of May 2023.*

  • Thursday May 16th, 2024, The Graduate Center, The Biography and Memoir Program, and The CCPG, (The CUNY Comix Programming Group) welcomed a big crowd and publisher Liz Frances, editor Jisu Kim, and authors Katie Fricas, Bishakh Som, and Tracy White to room 5414.

    There was far-ranging conversation covering graphic memoir and graphic non-fiction—its power and the ethics and methodologies around its practice culminating in a Q&A.
