The Future of Nanofabrication for 2D Materials
Advanced Science Research Center at the Graduate Center, CUNY 85 Saint Nicholas Terrace, New York, NY[go.pardot.com] Please join us for The Future of Nanofabrication for 2D Materials[go.pardot.com] workshop hosted by the Advanced Science Research Center at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (ASRC) Nanoscience Initiative. Conveniently, the event will be held the day before the Graphene for U.S. International Conference[go.pardot.com] begins at the ASRC. The one-day workshop will focus on challenges and new frontiers in nanofabrication methods for 2D materials-based technology. Two-dimensional materials like graphene and transition metal dichalcogenides are having a profound impact on basic and applied research. Their ultimate use in nanotechnology depends, however, on the capability to fabricate, position, and interconnect 2D structures and metal electrodes. The limitations of conventional lithography in terms of quality of metallic contacts, resolution, and 3D patterning have motivated the development of new fabrication methods. We will discuss these new methods and obstacles that may slow their use. The program will include presentations covering the following topics:
