Discuss the significance of John the baptist in relation to Jesus in Matthew 3,11 and 17.

John the baptist is important in relation to Jesus because he is the man that practices the word of God. He preaches it to people and despite the violence and criticism he continues because he believes. John the baptist is protecting Jesus and looking out for him because he is one of his disciples. In Matthew John the baptist gets messages through his dreams because of his doubt.
