Professor Bloom came to life in the 20th century during the Great Depression, he’s from New York City, and he is the youngest brother of five. Dr. Bloom has learned two different languages like Yiddish and Hebrew, he realized his studies at Bronx Science H.S and then went to the University of Cornell and Yale. On the other hand, we can say that professor Bloom is an atheist person because he did not believe in God. Professor Bloom published his first book at his 29 years old and started teaching at Yale in 1955. In his historical Professor, Bloom had written 40 books.
All good writers are influenced by previous writers’ influence. In 1970, the critical theory of Professor Bloom began to grow and a few years later in 1973 misreading was part of one of the most important theories of its time and with the best originality, saying: “poetry results from poets deliberately read the works that they influence them. At the root of this theory, many themes were developed. The anxiety of Influence is based on influence and is a subconscious motivation to surpass the precursor. In the book “The Anxiety of Influence” the primary main idea is plasmate traditional poets and future poets.
The act of creating new works originates from misprision and deliberate misreading of the original poem. Misprision’s main goal exceeded the originality of work, misprision belong to the process wherein New York is a token from the original completion. In facts, misprision referred to misreading, misunderstanding, interpretation and deliberate, and make references to the creation of the new and different.
Bloom’s theory has developed six revisionary ratios called; Clinamen that is a misunderstanding of poetic form, it can happen in an old poem is currently up to a certain point but in the way that the new poem goes. Tessera, which means “ completion and antithesis”, usually Professor Bloom uses this theory in the sense of ancient mystery cults. Kenosis is a movement toward discontinuity with the precursor, the precursor to is emptied out. Daemonization is a daemonic power that informs the precursor poet. Askesis refers to the achievement of solitude, cleansing of influences and avowal of independent achievement. And the sixth and last element is Apophrades, come back from the dead, poets are burdened by Bloom’s solipsism, making, and effort for holding his poem to the precursor. All these six-element has an influence over the Bloom Theory, the greatest writers have a legacy because of those elements. The new generation creates a lot of new things as writers.
The musician Carlos Santana began in 1947 in the city of Jalisco, Mexico. Santana is the son number six of his family. In her childhood, Santana learned to play the violin followed the guitar, for which he developed an ardent passion. Also, Santana lived in California and years later he moved with his family to San Francisco, where his career took beginning. Then, during the 50s, he managed to join clubs and bars in Tijuana, where years later he made her big debut creating Blues Band.
The reason I chose Carlos Santana as an artist is that I know a song that is famous among the Latino community called “Oye Como Va”, that song moves us to the beat. Santana is a complete artist who plays for all types of audiences with the power to enjoy them at the pace they like. Another reason why I chose this artist is that I like the art of music and to identify myself better with this medium, I like to listen and interpret every letter of the songs I listen to.
The Santana musician has become famous for having created a very original mix of rock, jazz, blues, salsa and African rhythms with Latin infusion, who later became known for the concept of “World Music”. Santana managed to get his attention on the scene of the San Francisco club because of his success. The band’s early success, crowned by a memorable performance at Woodstock in the 60th century, led Santana to have a recording contract with Columbia Records, which was later directed by Clive Davis. In this same stage the musician Santana released his first album promoted by a single from the top 10 “Evil Ways”, Santana sold more than four million copies and was on the Billboard platforms for two years. Then, the musician from Santana, taking advantage of his success, decided to add two songs to his great album “Hey, how’s it going” and “Black Magic Woman”.
At one point in the career of musician Carlos Santana, there were very few Mexicans in American rock and pop music, so Ritchie Valens became a great influence for Carlos. Ritchie Valens was an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist.
At the age of eight, Santana was under the influence of some blues artists such as B.B. King, Javier Bátiz, Mike Bloomfield and John Lee Hooker. Similarly, jazz guitar work in the mid-60s was another source that had a lot of influence on Santana’s way of playing. Santana also credits Jimi Hendrix, Mike Bloomfield, Hank Marvin, and Peter Green as important influences in his musical career. The person that had more influence over Santana was Bloomfield.
Through this project, I had the opportunity to understand more deeply the meaning of influence in the life of each person. Sometimes we have people who influence some points of our life and we don’t know how to identify them. For example, what influenced me that today I am here in this university studying was having in front and seeing the sacrifice that my mother made so that today I have a better future and achieve each of my goals. As I could see in Santana’s life there were many influential in the musical career that always supported him and they had there for him to achieve each of his musical successes.
