Autobiographia Literaria Remix
By Sanyelly Tapia (and Frank O’Hara)
When I was a dancer
I played professional dancer in a
corner of the empty stage
all alone.
I hated practicing by myself and I
Hated acting as if people were watching, my friends were
not friendly and always
pushed me away.
If my teacher was looking
for me I hid behind a curtain
and cried out “ Im not perfect,
why do I keep trying?.”
And here I am, the
Master of all the dancers!
Practicing these routines!
Imagine!
