Writing these assignments have been very helpful in my self-reflection process. By self-reflecting I had the amazing opportunity to reevaluate my beliefs and morals as a Jamaica women living in the USA. I tried to think beyond a women perspective while writing the poem and the speech. I looked at it through a societal lenses and it helped me form a more concrete idea for my project. I focused on Abortion for all of my writings; abortion is an important topic because it included all genders and races, but the most important individuals are the women. They should be at the forefront of this discussion, but they are not. Women need to become more active in this discussion because abortion has to do with their rights as a human begin. 

With that being said it is important that women take a stand on the issue of abortion because it will affect this generation and the generations to come.
