    All Psychology Doctoral Students,

    You are invited to the 3rd All-Psychology Conference on the Teaching of Psychology taking place Friday, October 12th at the Graduate Center!

    “The Diversity of Psychology: Tools and Strategies for Teaching

    We welcome all students, and faculty members, from all Training areas and related disciplines to join in the event!

    The conference will open with a keynote address from Dr. Susan Nolan, Professor and Chair of Psychology Department at Seton Hall University, followed by sessions focused on the role of diversity in various areas of the Teaching of Psychology

    The one-hour workshops include:

    o Teaching hybrid and online classes: Best practices for engaging diverse students with diverse learning styles

    o Intro to Psychology: The diversity of subjects meets the diversity of the classroom

    o Teaching Research Methods: Diverse methods and assessments

    o Teaching to the diverse classroom on topics of diversity: handling the difficult conversation

    A professional development lunch will follow with round table discussions on specific teaching topics with other graduate students.

    To culminate the conference, a Teaching Show and Tell will take place where graduate students will share their teaching activities. A reception will follow.
