Influence of Anxiety

Professor Bloom was a person of american literary critic and a sterling professor at yale university.Professor Bloomwrote his first book in 1959. Which helped him make 40 more books. Professor Bloom books helped him but he helped shape english writings. What help Professor bloom with his career is how he challenged the conventional critical view of his poetic career. Writers are saying with professor Bloom work looking at it is like exactly wishing what they are asking for. Professor Bloom was a guy who uses sigmund freud. Professor Bloom did not like harry potter from jk rowling. He said that its not well writing and its not reliable.meaning that it did not set its standard to good writing. Which jumps into one of work called “Anxiety of influence”.

Anxiety of influence is made out of two parts of different components. The two main components of Anxiety of influence is misprision and how misprision influence professor bloom to the influence. Misprision is using someone knowledge and using as an act of treasonable act or a felony. Professor Bloom misprision is the lead of influence, when writers follow his work and get anxiety while in the middle of reading . the two work that professor Bloom was inspired by sigmund freud and and the ancient mystic traditions of Gnosticism, Kabbalah, and Hermeticism. He wrote books that poets look at it and they use it to make their own to overcome by the influence of the previous poets who inspired the writing.

The anxiety of influence are broken down into 6 parts that are six revisionary ratios. The six revisionary are clinamen,tessera, kenosis,daemonization,akesis and apophrades. Clinamen is to indicate a bias. Meaning that his work is better than anyone else. Tessera using someone work to make it more better way with the same words in an original work.kenosis mean is pulling yourself away from the person who inspires you and doing what they do better. While Daemonization is being influenced by someone more knowing than you. Akesis mean is making your own work and don’t get influenced by someone else’s work and apophrades is is showing how your work is better than the person who mentor you.these 6 revisionary ratios helped groundwork for artists, writers and students everywhere who follow professor book that is anxiety of influence.

Chester Bennington the lead singer of Linkin Park is a 3rd party of anxiety of influence. Chester Bennington is the lead singer of Linkin Park which is one of the most popular bands and most perform lead singer. Along some greatest lead singer like Chris’s Cornell. Chester bennington His parents got the voice and he Was getting sexually abuse I was getting worse and worse by the day.At the age of 17, Bennington moved in with his mother. He was banned from leaving the house for a time when his mother discovered his drug activity. He worked at a Burger King before starting his career as a professional musician. Chester was about to quit his career till when someone called him for an addition for linkin park .Bennington quit his day job at a digital services firm and took his family to California, where he had a successful audition with Linkin Park, who were then called Xero. Chester missed his birthday celebration during the process they couldn’t help him find a record deal till warren brothers vice president will chester and mike.

Chester Bennington was influenced some of the music industry famous artist. Along with influencing some new generation rock band artists today. Chester bennington was influenced by bands like Depeche Mode and Stone Temple Pilots. Not only chester was only influenced by other bands, he inspired other bands like imagine dragon and the chain smokers. Chester was influenced was one of his friends that is chris cornell through Anxiety of influence.

Chester bennington shows his understanding of Anxiety of influence through his music, he demonstrated this through his last album and his last song before he died was one more light “ Should’ve stayed, were there signs, I ignored? Can I help you, not to hurt, anymore? We saw brilliance, when the world was asleep There are things that we can have, but can’t keep” chester uses one of this phrase shows the perfect example of him using Daemonization by dedicating his song to someone who he was influenced by his good friend chris cornell when he passed away.

Throughout this interesting research and learning about about one of professor bloom books called Anxiety of influence. Has opened up my mind to see more than musical influenced but moreother like books,movies and etc, chester was one of the most influencer i looked up. In my days in high school I learned more about influence. Has my perspective made me think more in depth in my writing.
