News channel NY 1 features young participants and Dr. Nazrul Khandaker, director of the NASA MUREP K1-10 Aerospace Academy (MAA) Program. Current MAA along with the previous SEMAA (Science, Engineering, Mathematics, and Aerospace Academy) Program recently (spring 2017) celebrated the important milestone of 20,000 participants thus far. Both NASA STEM programs (MAA & SEMAA) have been serving community children, first through 10th grades for nearly 20 years.
