After trying (and failing) to find materials on the demographics of comic book fans, I stumbled across multiple articles that referenced this article a staple in understanding the way the comic book industry functions in relation to comic book stores and fans. I found the article through World Cat, but our library does not subscribe to the Journal of Graphic Novels and Comics, so I had to request it through ILL.
