This is a clip from the Library of Congress of X.J. Kennedy and Anne Sexton reading their poetry at Coolidge Auditorium in 1972. Sexton’s poems are amazing on their own, but it’s interesting contrasting the two poets performance style. Kennedy talks, sings some of his poems, makes comments to the audience. Sexton has a more serious tone, with little discussion between her poems.
