Christopher Ian Foster is a Doctoral Candidate in English at the Graduate Center, CUNY, an Instructor at Queens College, and a Dissertation Fellow with The Committee on Globalization and Social Change, and IRADAC, CUNY 2014-2015

Ian’s publication in the journal Small Axe: A Caribbean Platform for Criticism entitled “The Queer Politics of Crossing in Maryse Conde’s Crossing the Mangrove” came out in March, 2014. http://smallaxe.net/43 His dissertation project tracks twenty-first century African migritude Literature and its relationship to the black radical tradition. He is an organizer for the Postcolonial Studies Group Colloquium Series at the Graduate Center.
