Software, Globalization and Political Action

This interdisciplinary seminar will explore concepts and methods from both critical theory and software studies. It is taught by Prof. Susan Buck-Morss (Political Science), and Prof. Lev Manovich (Computer Science).

Artists in Code/Space

    The intros to Kitchin and Dodge’s Code/Space and Software Takes Command lead me to spend more time considering what role artists can have in critiquing and defining code/space.

    I suspect that I am unaware of a fair body of work in various media, or “new media species” that explore this space.

    Any recommendations for beginnings for that exploration?
