I recently completed my PhD in Ethnomusicology at The Graduate Center, CUNY while teaching at Borough of Manhattan Community College since 2013. In April 2018, I was awarded The Distinguished Teaching Award for my work in creating culturally relevant curriculum and an inclusive work environment in which students (and faculty) can succeed.
