Attached is a draft of a paper that is in the final stages of an endless editors back-and-forth for publication sometime later this year. A much more substantial version of this will make up a portion of the discussion chapter of my dissertation, and on that score (the expanded diss part) I am interested in any comments people have in terms of literature/theoretical suggestions to look at further. The doc is 15 pages but only about ten double-spaced pages of text as there are a lot of images, one page of references, and a fair amount of archive citation footnotes that you can ignore reading.
