    Dear Friends,

    Please join CLAGS: The Center for LGBTQ Studies at the CUNY Graduate Center for the 31st annual David R. Kessler Lecture. The Kessler award recognizes significant and sustained achievement in LGBTQ studies, art, and activism.

    This year’s honoree will be E. Patrick Johnson, a luminary in the fields of Black Queer Studies, African American Studies, and Performance Studies. Johnson is Dean of the School of Communication and Annenberg University Professor at Northwestern University.

    The Kessler Lecture and reception will be held on December 7, 2023 at 6pm in the Proshansky Auditorium at the CUNY Graduate Center, located at 365 Fifth Avenue, NY, NY 10016. The event is free and open to the public. Register here.
