    Description: The Department of English at Baruch College seeks a Program Coordinator primarily to assist with a large-scale assessment and development of online teaching and digital pedagogy in general education literature and writing courses. Main tasks include collecting and analyzing data; designing and developing websites and other online course platforms; managing communications with faculty; helping coordinate faculty schedules; and organizing special events such as faculty development seminars, presentations, focus groups, and meetings. The position is particularly suited for candidates looking to gain a wider understanding of writing program assessment, curricular design, and program administration.

    Qualifications: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to work independently; and fluency with content/creative applications (e.g. WordPress) and organizational management software (e.g. Excel). Maters degree in English or related field, college-level teaching experience, especially experience with online teaching and digital pedagogy, and qualitative assessment experience strongly preferred. We especially welcome applications from graduate students in the Interactive Technology and Pedagogy Certificate Program and other GC Digital Initiatives; former CUNY Writing or Instructional Technology Fellows; and current Baruch instructors.

    Compensation: This position is for the Spring 2017 semester, ending June 2017, and is at the rank of College Assistant.

    College Assistant hours do not conflict with teaching and NTA hours at CUNY.

    Salary is $21.34/hour for 20 hours/week.

    Starting Date: January 17, 2017
