    > The City University of New York Office of Library Services (OLS) has collected a large amount of data around the conversion of courses from traditional textbooks to open educational resources. To better understand the meaning of the data collected this position will analyze current and ongoing data with the aim of making it available to CUNY researchers and other interested parties and also to present to the state the meaning and impact of OER work. To that end, the Office of Library Services is seeking to hire an OER Researcher (NTA). The successful candidate will support CUNY Libraries’ efforts to assess, review, and develop best practices at CUNY and in the larger global OER community.

    > RESPONSIBILITIES:

    > · Clean, analyze, and visualize a pre-existing data set of Zero Textbook Cost (ZTC) course enrollment and departmental coverage.
    > · Write reports on university wide and school specific data
    > · Work with the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment to develop a data set on ZTC courses and student success
    > · Create reports and data visualizations from that ZTC and student success data set

    > Qualifications
    > · Must possess superior analytical and creative thinking skills
    > · Excellent attention to detail and the ability to keep detailed, accurate records
    > · Strong written and verbal communication skills
    > · Background in statistical analysis and work with data sets
    > · Knowledge of Excel, SPSS, R, or other statistical analysis software
    > · Facility with data visualization software
    >
    > Compensation
    > · $50 an hour for up to 200 hours
