Question for today’s class

  • In trying to connect the three readings, I had a question about the conceptualization about software performance in your article Lev, in relation to the idea of moving through coded spaces articulated by Terranova, as well as Kitchin and Dodge’s discussion of territorialization and deterritorialization of code/space. As opposed to a relationship between software and user, could we say that in the case of software on mobile phones there is an interactive relationship between software, the user and the telecom company? Might monopolization of telecom networks reterritorialize code/spaces?
