I’m sure a lot of you saw this on the news/blogs last week – but this guy at MIT developed a piece of software to create gibberish scientific papers of which 120 or so got accepted and published even though they were computer-generated nonsense.

I think peer-review was mentioned at the end of class… relevant to that perhaps.
