    The Sociology department will hold a series of events and celebrations  on Wednesday May 11 in the Hunter West Faculty Dining Room, 8th floor.

    Capstone Poster Presentations

    1:00pm-2:00pm  – Many of the undergraduates in sociology will present their research as posters, and everyone is invited to  walk through and ask these  students about Capstone their research.

    The  Annual Charles Green Urban Lecture 

    2:00pm-3:30pm Dr. Heba Gowayed, the Moorman-Simon Assistant Professor of Sociology at Boston University, will give the annual Charles Green Lecture, and she will be discussing her book Refuge: How the State Shapes Human Potential.

    3:30pm-5:00pm Year End Celebration and Retirement Party
