Call to Participate: Ten Questions for Elections Officials About Voter Access

    Contact: jenkarius@gmail.com or 607-269-5104

Would you like to help improve our democracy, by overseeing voting and elections?

This research project aims to improve the integrity of elections by asking straightforward questions to elections officials regarding administrative processes that influence the right to vote – on the front and back end of elections – ultimately impacting election outcomes.

You are asked to conduct a trial interview (20-45 min in length) or transcribe interviews. Eventually a small team is sought to conduct interviews in key states and counties with a possible honorarium.

    Introduction to the interview:

Strict voter purging policies put eligible voters at risk of losing their right to vote. Voting rights are crucial to our democracy and must be protected at every level. The following questions seek to provide an understanding of the process and purpose of updating voter registration lists, as well as the remedies for eligible voters who do not appear on the voter registration lists. Finally, this question set asks election officials about COVID-preparedness and ensuring that each vote is counted, tallied, and reported out accurately, verifiably and securely.

    About Democracy Reform Ranking Project:

The Democracy Reform Ranking Project (DRRP) seeks to grow and sustain wider participation in voting and election reforms that will increase government accountability and achieve greater democratic representation in the United States.
