    Imagine a place bulldozed where you know you will have your needs met. Where you’ve created a community and were offered services to mentor and foster your routine, needs, and lifestyle.

    Sadly, this is the case for many, as it has been rumored that the Emma Bowen Upper Manhattan Mental Health building on 145th Street will be demolished to build new housing. People are suffering the loss of the long-standing building, which offers many community services, such as food pantries, drug programs, doctor visits, and annual street fairs.

    New news has arisen! It has been rumored that a petition, #STOPTHEBUILD, has been signed by several community residents and is being circulated to stop the building of the new residential buildings.
