By a narrow margin, Thursdays biweekly from 2:30PM to 4:00PM has won out as the most popular PUG (Python User Group) meeting time preference! We will plan to begin meetings on Thursday, February 17th on Zoom (https://gc-cuny-edu.zoom.us/j/88978563329?pwd=OWx3bmZyd0EySWprNDYzQTBBQVh2dz09), and meet every other week after that. Based on your poll responses, we will plan to focus primarily on Data Analysis, Python Basics, and Machine Learning, but leave space open for other questions and interests as well. We will be adopting the format of 1 hour of more structured work, and then 30 min of chatting or project/challenge work. For the Feb. 17th meeting, we will plan on going through Melanie Walsh’s “Data Analysis” chapter (https://melaniewalsh.github.io/Intro-Cultural-Analytics/03-Data-Analysis/01-Pandas-Basics-Part1.html), adjusting if need be to accommodate new Python users!
